State Results

Congratulations to our girls team for finishing 9^th at the State XC meet this weekend in Jefferson City!

We are so proud of all of our athletes this year. This Varsity team (Lexi, Jasmine, Mallory, Nicole, Keely, Marti and Emma) won Conference, Districts and Sectionals and qualified for a team for the State meet for the first time since 1999. We had a great weekend, and are so proud of our team. Cross Country is by far the most difficult physical and metal sport there is, and we feel blessed to work with such determinded athletes.

Special thanks to all those who made the trip to Jefferson City to cheer for our team. It was so wonderful to see families from near and far, friends and teammates there. (Shout outs to Charlie, Sophie, Lauren A, Hailey, Maggie, Morgan and alums Erin Stump, Amanda Tillman and Ellie Link).

Sectional Results

The 2015 season ended with many firsts and has the team excited to get to work in the off season to make 2016 even better. After winning districts for the first time as a Class 4 school, the girls went on to claim the Sectional 4 Title with 54 points. This is the first time PHS won Sectionals in Class 4!!!!

District 8 Champs!!!

Congratulations to our Varsity girls for winning the District 8 Championship on Saturday! This is the first time in our school's Class 4 history that we've won districts. The girls move on to the Sectional meet this Saturday in Kearney, MO. The four teams from our District (PHS, Staley, Liberty, Kearney) will meet the District 7 teams (Blue Spring South, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit North and Notre Dame de Scion). It will be another great race. We will have a team bus and we would love to have teammates come cheer the girls on as they race. The bus will leave at 7:00 Saturday morning. We are so proud of ALL of our runners this year, and we would love to have the team together again to support and celebrate winning districts and having a really good shot to send a team to State.

Congratulations to all of our runners today! We had many runners set their personal records, we had many runners medal, and we had one runner break the school record. Lexi ran a 19.10.0, breaking the previous record of 19.10,.4 set in 2001!!!!  The varsity finished 3rd, JV 9th, 10th grade 6th and 9th grade 8th.
