Congratulations to all of our runners today! We had many runners set their personal records, we had many runners medal, and we had one runner break the school record. Lexi ran a 19.10.0, breaking the previous record of 19.10,.4 set in 2001!!!!  The varsity finished 3rd, JV 9th, 10th grade 6th and 9th grade 8th.

State Results!!

It was a great weekend to be a Lady Panther. Congratulations to Lexi, Emma and Marti for making the most of their trip to Jefferson City. The course at Oak Hills is not an easy course by any means, but these three ran very smart races. It is hard to do when the lead runner, Hanna Long, takes off ready to send a message and leads the pack by 20 second in the first mile! She went on to win the race in 17:38!!!

The girls ran a perfect first mile near 6:00, and that was AFTER the race was restarted 4 times!!!!! (WHAT!?!?!). Mile two separated the lead runner again, followed by a large chase pack of about 14 girls, and then a smaller chase pack of 4 runners. Emma and Lexi ran nearly side by side from mile 1 on.They held their positions around 30th place until they came around the last downhill before the uphill finish. Marti ran 1 second short of her PR (but on a much harder course!!!!) and had a great finish! All three of our girls ran awesome races and we are so excited for them!! Emma earned All State Honors, finishing in the top 25 at 22nd place in 19:24 (a NEW PR!!!), Lexi finished 30th in 19:32 and Marti was 50th in 19:58. To have all three girls finish in the top 50 is AMAZING!!!!!

Marti was the 8th fastest freshman in Class 4!!! 

Tucker Melles also earned All State Honors, making this the first time in our school's history that we have had a boy and a girl finish All State. All of this greatness was witnessed by our great team, as many of them made the trip to come and cheer on our runners!! Thank you so much!!!

Erica, Astrid, Mariah, Morgan, Sydney, Erin, Kallen, Jazmine, Allison and Nicole came and cheered on the team!!

Girls Finish 2nd at Districts!!

Congratulations to the girls CC team on their 2nd place finish at the District 8 Meet at Platte Ridge Park. The girls did an amazing job coming together as a team to qualify for sectionals. The girls will race against the qualifying teams from the District 7 Sectional held at Lake Jacomo today. Sectional qualifying teams: Blue Spring South, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit North, Notre Dame de Sion, Kearney, Liberty, Staley and PHS.
