First off, have a great homecoming weekend! Have fun, be smart and take lots of pictures to share with us on Monday! Kierstie, Jodi and Jamie all look like they are ready to pose! I updated some pictures from the race last night and I will add the results tomorrow sometime. I am getting ready to go out of town..so...my apologies for the delay in information. this week practice schedule: Monday - Off campus- back by 5:00, Tuesday - On campus - 4:30, Wednesday - athletes need to bring $5.00 for dinner. We will travel tot he Trolley Trail in Waldo and runt he trail for a 5 mile run. After the run, we will eat at Waldo Pizza. $5 will cover dinner. We will be home by 6:30. Thursday - on campus - 4:30. Friday - pre-meet, finishedby 4:15. I will send an update later this week with athletes, times and assigned races. ALL injury free athletes will run the KC Metro race thsi weekend in Ray Pec. there is a 9th grade race, a 10th grade race, a JV race and a varsity race. I will update the post Monday evening with times and races for each athlete. It is a BIG race, with both the KS and MO side represented. This will also be an excellent test for our team to see how much faster we are on the same course. I expect a much faster visit to Ray Pec this go around. Until Monday, happy homecoming!

Reed Portrait Group offers the following choices for team pictures. Ordering pictures IS NOT MANDATORY! Envelopes will be send home tomorrow with athletes and must be brought back Wednesday for team pictures (if athletes choose to order pictures.) Cash or check is accepted. Checks need to be made to Reed Portrait Group. If you pay in cash - bring EXACT change.

Homecoming Week

This week is homecoming week! We have spirit days at school and Spirit days for Cross County.

Monday PJ day (school) Black Out day (wear all black) for CC- practice @ MO Riverfront Trail - back at school by5:00. Girls will bring home picture order forms for team pictures. Pictures are Wednesday after school. It is not required to order pictures but it is required that ALL athletes are in the team picture.

Tuesday - Twin Day (School) White Out day (wear as much white as possible) for CC - Pasta Party @ Bischoffs house in Thousand Oaks. Directions will be handing out at practice Monday. Athletes just need to bring their own water to drink.

Wednesday - Way back day (70s and 80s attire) NEON day for CC. Girls MUST bring their team uniforms for team pictures. We will take team pictures, then change into our NEON attire and have a pre-meet workout. Team t-shirt money is due ($4.00) Practice will be over by 4:00 as coaches have Parent/Teachers Conferences to attend.

Thursday - Spirit Day - purple and black (school) Thursday is our meet at Longview Community College. The following athletes will run at Grandview: Varsity @ 4:00- Lizzy, Miranda N, Lauren B, Jessica H, Kerry, Audrey, Evan JV @ 5:00- Amy, Hanna, Ellie, Anna S, Kierstie, Abby, Kelsey, Mackenzie, Justine, Hannah C, Anna G, Jane, Erin, Maggi, Jamie, Jessica W, Dana, Jodi, Regan, Maisie, Lauren R, Jessica F, Laura S. Athletes racing Grandview need to get out of class at 1:45. They will not miss class as this is the Homecoming assembly. Grandview Athletes will not attend the homecoming assembly! Bus will leave at 2:05. Estimated time back at school - 7:30 pm. Snack Bags - Werner, Sickman, Jackson. ALL other athletes NOT racing Grandview - NO PRACTICE THURSDAY!

Friday - NO SCHOOL - practice @ English Landing Park at 8:30 for EVERYONE!!! After practice, we will go to Panera for a team breakfast. Juniors/Seniors and coaches will provide transportation from ELP to PAnera and home (permission slips will be send home Monday with picture order forms).

Saturday - Homecoming! Make good choices! Get SOME rest (we know it will be hard). Take lots of pictures so we can see you all fancied up! HAVE FUN!

MO Southern Stampede

Congratulations to the team on their times and place at the Southern Stampede Saturday. The varsity girls finished 20th out of 40 teams and the JV girls finished 8th out of 18 teams. It was an excellent day for racing and the team got to try their legs on the newly designed course. This year's race was a little hillier than in years past but the team ran well and, overall, improved their times. This is a huge race, with teams from Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma attending.
